Ricky Zampogna signs Letter of Intent

Keith Reigel Staff Writer

Ricky Zampogna signs his Letter of Intent to run track at Slippery Rock University. When asked about Slippery Rock Zampoga said, “He received a call from just recently graduated Slippery Rock standout Trinity Clark and she talked to him about the school and the track program there. It was a great honor to speak with Trinity and get her insight about the program and the school. I was also able to talk to the Slippery Rock coach in charge of the jumpers and he explained to me a little about the program and what I can expect. Slippery Rock has an outstanding program and it will be great to be part of such a storied program. Here Zampogna will be able to focus on his academics and track and not have that everyday grind of what sport to get ready for next like he has in his high school career. With that focus I think his goals are unlimited and he will be a great asset to the team.
